Niederwinkling. After 18 month of planning and engineering, Intercontec celebrated its new construction venture, comprising two state-of-the-art production sheds and one office building, with a symbolic turn of the sod.

Owner and Managing Director of Intercontec, Mr. Wolfgang Pfeiffer, joyfully welcomed all employees, honoured guests including District Administrator Alfred Reisinger, Mayor Ludwig Waas, numerous deligations of neighboring companies and the media. Mr. Pfeiffer clearly emphasized that due to the enormous demand of Intercontec products worldwide it is inevitable to expand capacities in all areas of the company. Currently all departments as well as the building itself are literally bursting at the seams.

With such sustainable investment, Mr. Pfeiffer expresses his deep gratitude to all employees who have contributed decisively to the success of the Intercontec Group. The new company buildings will provide a perfect and exceptional working environment to all existing and future employees at the well known company headquarter in Niederwinkling to continue Intercontec’s remarkable success story.

District Administrator Alfred Reisinger and mayor Ludwig Waas were also very grateful that Mr. Pfeiffer decided to continue governing Intercontec’s business from Niederwinkling. This step proves that the town and district has provided excellent conditions for companies which in turn create jobs that support the region itself sustainably.

The speeches were followed by a very detailed presentation conducted by architect Frank Jahn who represented the construction company Goldbeck. Mr. Jahn described all previous design and engineering steps that were required to finalize this mammoth project. The buildings are designed to the highest standards requiring a multi-million Euro investment.

For a medium-size family-owned company such project means a major effort which is rather exceptional for the whole region. From the very beginning the focus of Mr. Pfeiffer was on establishing a perfect working environment, enhancing job safety and using sophisticated building technology to retain existing employees. The office building and both production sheds are integrated into a top notch energy management system comprising an environmentally friendly solar power system for own power supply.

The new company building offers 6000 m² and is based on a future orientated and convincing concept: The building can easily be expanded; it provides sophisticated room arrangements with short paths and flexible areas. Employees are getting offered spacious social and recreational areas inside and outside the building. Parking places close to the building and an elaborated delivery traffic concept complete the entire planning.

This investment shall prepare Intercontec for future ventures to be able to cope with the continuously growing demand of industrial connectors and customized complete solutions for electrical connection systems. Founded in 1996, Intercontec developed exceptional and reliable products and solutions during the last 17 years thus positioned itself as the world's leading supplier of innovative connectivity technologies. Intercontec products are extremely durable, reliable and well known for offering an enormous advantage in technology.

R&D, purchasing, marketing and sales are located in Niederwinkling, our headquarter. The entire Intercontec Group consists of 3 more production sites that are producing High-Tec-Connectors “Made in Germany” completely automated and in high quantities.
