Deggendorf students network with TE Connectivity
50 students studying mechanical engineering at the Technical Hochschulde Deggendorf (THD) visited TE Connectivity campus in Niederwinkling. This was the first visit since the former Intercontec was acquired by TE Connectivity in September 2016.
The THD students have been coming for a meeting at the Niederwinkling campus during their fifth semester to find out about industry trends, innovations and employment opportunities.
Peter van Loo, TE general manager of the TE Industrial Intercontec welcomed the students along with the representative from THD, General Manager Dipl. ing. Albert Schreiner. Peter Van Loo and Ulrich Kiskalt, head of TE Niederwinkling personnel presented the global company and its advanced high quality connectivity capabilities.
In addition, they discussed career opportunities and good prospects in the region. They informed the guests that the location in Niederwinkling is expanding due to its role as the worldwide competence center for motor connectivity for the TE Connectivity. Ulrich Kiskalt said that technology professionals will in be demand like never before and encouraged student to remain in “contact” with TE.
The program ended with Stefanie Fajardo, sales for Asia and recent graduate of THD, presenting a TE company overview. Then Philipp Moncher, head of design, led students on a tour of the facility.
