February 2009: Bavarian Science Secretary visits Intercontec Laboratory

The Bavarian Science Secretary, Dr. Wolfgang Heubisch was impressed by the CT-Laboratory, founded by Intercontec´s CEO Wolfgang Pfeiffer, at the University of Applied Sciences in Deggendorf.

In company with local representatives from economy and university Mr. Heubisch has been informed of the Foundations functionality and engagement.


Intercontec´s Laboratory at the University of Applied Sciences in Deggendorf, Eastern Bavaria, was one more a main spot at the campus tour of Bavarians Science Secretary, Mr. Dr. Wolfgang Heubisch and the Universitiy´s representitives.
Diplom-Engineer Susanne Müller explained the different types CT-Measurements. The scanning procedure provides a point cloud consis-ting of several million measuring points. Saved in dif-ferent formats, it allows the monitoring of inspection criteria as well as the analysis of x-ray images.With the generated point cloud applied to a CAD mo-del it is possible to run a dimensional analysis of the component to assess its dimensional accuracy. In ge-neral, there are two alternative analysis methods: the fast, graphic representation and the use of predef ned measuring points in conjunction with the creation of an inspection protocol.
